Expert Seattle Tadelakt Finishing

Tadelakt is a traditional Moroccan wall finish originating in the Marrakech Region; it is historically found in the hammams, the Moroccan steam baths, and in the riads of Marrakech. Tadelakt has a smooth appearance, slightly shiny like Marmorino Carrara, but is thicker and less textured. It is very durable and quite water-resistant, but remains breathable. Tadelakt is an ideal lime-based plaster finish for showers and bathrooms and other wet areas.

Stucco Italiano Tadelakt is manufactured in Italy by Giovanni Polistena. Giovanni’s intentions in developing this Moroccan-style plaster were to remain entirely faithful to the look, feel, and chemical makeup of the original Moroccan Tadelakt, while creating a more sophisticated, user-friendly product. Enlisting the help and guidance of experienced installers, Giovanni spent years formulating the perfect blend of natural limes, clays, and sands to create our beautiful Tadelakt material.

Our version of the classic Moroccan Tadelakt is now preferred by many installers for it’s beauty, ease of installation, and ability to resist delaminating/detaching from the surface as plasters of this nature often do in the hands of the most expert installers.
